Commentary David Loosli
The last 127 kilometres and 2,100 metres of altitude of the Tour de Suisse Women 2024 await. Most of the elevation gain is on the first part of the route, which in my view gives the sprinters the chance to finally sprint for a stage win after three tough days. However, the teams of these sprinters will have to organise themselves well to keep the field together. It is quite possible that there will also be some final attacks to take valuable GC seconds.
Stage Highlights
Champagne
The village of 1,000 residents nestles beautifully between Lake Neuchâtel and lush vineyards.
Lake Neuchâtel
The northern shore of the lake is characterized by vineyards, the southern shore by the largest marshland and bird paradise in Switzerland.
La Chaux-de-Fonds
Renown for both its exemplary grid street layout and the watchmaking industry.
Champagne
Previously a Host City in 2016. On that occasion, the men received a tremendous welcome.
