The 88th men’s Tour de Suisse has something for everyone. Over the eight stages, different types of riders can play to their strengths and fight for stage wins. For the riders in contention for overall victory, the mountain stages four and five – with the fifth stage being the Queen Stage – as well as the final day’s mountain time trial will be decisive.

A total of 1,300 kilometres and over 20,000 metres in altitude lie between the start in Küssnacht and the ultimate finish at Stockhütte. Quite a feat considering that the two towns are only 16 kilometres apart. The 88th edition also features a special premiere. The destination of the 4th stage is Piuro (Valchiavenna) in Valtellina. The northern Italian region is hosting the Tour de Suisse for the first time.
